Russell Co. Health Dept. Administrative Assistant

The Russell Co. Health Dept. is seeking an administrative assistant/child care facility surveyor/chronic disease risk reduction grant coordinator. Duties include survey day care homes, child care centers/preschools investigate complaints, and provide orientation training. Duties for chronic disease risk reduction grant include but not limited to coordinating coalition meetings, collaborate and communicate with other agencies in tobacco use prevention and control and promote physical activities and healthy eating behaviors, and other grant responsibilities. Other duties include assisting with other grant/programs as needed, public speaking, conducting meetings, and general office duties. Traveling required. Licensed as a registered nurse or college graduate with a 4 yr degree in nursing, childhood or elementary ed, child development, human development, social work, or realated field. Wheat Maintenance Mechanic

Police Officer

The City of Russell is accepting applications for the position of police officer. Starting pay based on experience/qualifications. The duties of a police officer include, but are not limited to, the investigation and enforcement of criminal laws, traffic laws and city ordinances. Other duties include the operation of a motor vehicle under adverse conditions, report writing, community relations activities and other duties. Shift work is required.
